For spring, Graduate Commencement is on Friday, April 24, 2026, and Undergraduate Commencement is on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Cap & Gown Orders

The cap and gown order forms are not available at this time. Please email capandgown@mtu.edu with any questions or if you wish to place an order.

Regalia Pickup

Cap & Gown orders may be picked up Monday, Apri 20, 2026 - Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 8:30am to 4:00pm. You will need to present a photo ID to pick up your order. The pickup location is the Blueline Room next to University Images in the Student Development Complex (SDC).

Orders placed by 12:00pm on February 17, 2026:
Undergraduate Set $60.00 (plus tax)
Masters Set $120.00 (plus tax)
PhD Set $140.00 (plus tax)
Faculty Masters Set $140.00 (plus tax)
Faculty PhD Set $160.00 (plus tax)

Orders placed after 12:00pm February 17, 2026:
Undergraduate Set $80.00 (plus expedited shipping and tax)
Masters Set $140.00 (plus expedited shipping and tax)
PhD Set $160.00 (plus expedited shipping and tax)
Faculty Masters Set $160.00 (plus expedited shipping and tax)
Faculty PhD Set $180.00 (plus expedited shipping and tax)

Orders placed after 12:00pm March 16, 2026:
Undergraduate Set $90.00 (plus expedited shipping and tax)
Masters Set $150.00 (plus expedited shipping and tax)
PhD Set $170.00 (plus expedited shipping and tax)
Faculty PhD Set $190.00 (plus expedited shipping and tax)

Orders placed after 12:00pm on Monday, March 16, 2026 are not guaranteed to arrive before the commencement ceremony.

All sets include a gown, SureFit cap (one size fits most) and tassel. Masters and PhD sets also include a hood.
Masters and PhD students may not wear Undergraduate garb.
Once you receive your order, try on your regalia to ensure proper fit.
Prices subject to change. There are no refunds on cap and gown orders.
